What is COP?COP stands for the Coefficient of Performance and is a measure of how efficient the heat pump is. A COP of 3 means that for every one unit of power used by the heat pump then 3 units of heat are delivered by the unit inside the house, i.e. 300%. The COP varies with the water outlet temperature of the heat pump – the general rule is that, the higher the temperature you want heat delivered at, the lower the COP. |
