Will it provide enough hot water for baths, showers & domestic hot water?

With the correct design and equipment, all domestic hot water requirements can be provided by the air source heat pump throughout the year. Heat pumps produce water at a lower temperature than boiler systems, but hot enough for normal domestic use. The aim is to save money and energy with an air source heat pump system. There is no point in taking water to temperatures that can't be used anyway (above 55°C).

We also have an Air Source Heat Pump that we have combined with a pressurized cylinder in to a single extremely efficient unit.  This unit will produce all the hot water that you will need and, by using this unit, you will not need such a large combined space/hot water unit, meaning the price for the space heating unit is significantly lower.  Also, the hotter the single unit has to run the lower its efficiency will be. By trying to deal with hot water using a unit that was primarily designed for space heating, you will be inadvertently lowering the efficiency of your system and ensuring that it will cost you more to run than it should do.  This is why we have developed the unit specifically to produce domestic hot water very efficiently and economically.  The units come in 100ltr to 500ltr sizes, so there will be a right domestic hot water Air Source Heat Pump for you. The unit will sit wherever your old cylinder was located, or somewhere else, if preferred.
